Smith Skincare – Cleansers, Scrubs and Moisturisers

Me and Zoe have very different skincare regimes, mainly due to different budgets, different skin types, lifestyles and overall taste. If you are interested in products that work for both oily and dry skin then this is blog for you!

FACE WASH

Zoe’s Face Wash is Simple Clear Skin Oil Balancing Exfoliating Wash

PACKAGING

Nice simple packaging, fresh and does the job.

SCENE/FLAVOUR

Very faint pleasant fresh smell.

TEXTURE

Soft exfoliating beads with a sticky gel formula.

PRICE

£2 – £4 at Superdrug (Depending on current offers)

ZOE SAYS…

It’s my favourite face wash, now that I have discovered this fantastic product. I suffer with oily skin and can have horrendous breakouts. This face wash from simple helps to reduce my spots and controls the shine!

ANNA SAYS…

I don’t use this product as I have dry skin but it does smell very nice.

Anna’s  Face Wash is Clean and Clear Morning Energy Skin Brightening Daily Facial Scrub

PACKAGING

Nice, bright packaging, great for early mornings!

SCENE/FLAVOUR

AMAZING Fresh lemon smell, definitely wakes me up and puts me in a good mood for the day.

TEXTURE

Yellow gel type texture with fairly stiff exfoliating beads.

PRICE

£4 (I bought mine from Tesco during a food shop!)

ZOE SAYS…

It smells really good, says it’s oil free on the packaging so I might give this a go!

ANNA SAYS…

I love this face wash, it’s the second time I’ve purchased it and I think I will again. If you enjoy strongly scented face washes and have oily/dry skin then this could be the face wash/scrub for you. It’s not a very rough scrub and definitely gentle enough to use daily as it suggests!

MOISTURISER

Zoe’s Moisturisers are Simple Clear Skin Oil Balancing Moisturiser (Day) and Clean and Clear Dual Action Moisturiser (Night)

PACKAGING

The simple packaging is quite plain and good be more interesting it could be case of simple by name, simple by nature. The clean and clear has a purple ombre design and is a bit more exciting!

SCENE/FLAVOUR

The simple moisturiser barely has any scent, it’s just a clean fragrance while the clean and clear smells similar to suncream.

TEXTURE

The simple moisturiser is quite light and almost watery which makes sense as a oil balancing moisturiser, where as the clean and clear, also supposed to be oil free is quite thick and creamy.

PRICE

Simple – £2-£4 at Superdrug(Depending on current Offers)

Clean and Clear – £3 at Tesco

ZOE SAYS…

Simples moisturiser is great for every day use and control the shine on my oily skin. This is my second tube and I plan to repurchase this as soon as it runs out. It provides a good base for makeup and doesn’t feel greasy during the day.

I use clean and clears moisturiser as a night cream as it is a lot thicker than the simple and prevents breakouts and blemishes whilst hydrating but without creating shine. This is my second tube but I’m considering looking elsewhere!

ANNA SAYS…

I have used the Simple Oil Balancing moisturiser in the past as I can get an oily T-Zone but found it was too light and the rest of my face and neck felt dry.  Zoe did give me a tube of the clean and clear but I use it as hand cream, it’s nice but it’s not hydrating enough for my face.

Anna’s Moisturiser is Olay Hydration and Radiant Glow

PACKAGING

Love the packaging as pump action products feel more expensive to me!

SCENE/FLAVOUR

Smells nice, reminds me a bit of suncream or aftersun.

TEXTURE

A light a creamy texture without being greasy or watery.

PRICE

£4.95 at Superdrug (Dependant on current offers!)

ZOE SAYS…

The smell reminds me of sunbathing and has made me realise my moisturisers have no SPF, not cool. Total game changer.

ANNA SAYS…

This is the first time I’ve purchased this moisturiser, I normally buy Olay Total Effects when it is on offer but I found it was a bit too heavy and expensive without offers. This is a great alternative and it also has SPF 15 which is a must for me as I am super pale.
